Program about growing industrial hemp to be held Tuesday at Kearney County Fairgrounds -published March 2019

Andrew Bish is the COO of Bish Enterprises and founder of Hemp Harvest Works. After exiting the retail management industry after 14 years, he rejoined the family business in 2012 and transitioned into the agriculture industry. Since 2015, he has been focusing on identifying and resolving the many issues currently facing hemp harvesting and processing. His goal is to provide equipment that helps standardize hemp farming practices, while allowing growers to increase their scale of operation and decrease costs.

MINDEN — A Nebraska Hemp Education Experience, a program about growing industrial hemp, will be presented from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday on the Kearney County Fairgrounds in Minden.

It is hosted by Doug Miller of South Central Crop Consulting and an LG Seeds Dealer.

Speakers will include Andrew Bish who is chief operating officer of Bish Enterprises at Giltner, which provides harvest header adapters and other products for farmers. He also founded Hemp Harvest Works, a design, engineering, research, and sales firm created to help solve the mechanical needs of hemp producers.

Also on the program is Nebraska Hemp Association President Bill Achord of Lincoln.
