Andrew Bish is the COO of Bish Enterprises and founder of Hemp Harvest Works. After exiting the retail management industry after 14 years, he rejoined the family business in 2012 and transitioned into the agriculture industry. Since 2015, he has been focusing on identifying and resolving the many issues currently facing hemp harvesting and processing. His goal is to provide equipment that helps standardize hemp farming practices, while allowing growers to increase their scale of operation and decrease costs.

The Bish Hemp Separation System for CBD or other cannabinoid-rich hemp can cleanly separate hemp flower from hemp seed and hemp stalk. This is done in two stages, where in the first stage dry hemp material is fed into the machine which is then broken down and threshed to remove the hemp stalk from the rest of the hemp “biomass” and the second stage separates hemp flower from hemp seed, while also removing additional woody material. The seedy material can be ran through additional seed cleaners to recover additional flower, and separate viable from non-viable seed, no screens or sifting necessary. Additional vacuum systems can be installed to minimize trichome material loss.
